Abstract (sr)
The subject of this dissertation entails an attempt at a complex analysis, description and confrontation of phraseological units with religious components in Russian and Serbian. The religious component refers to a specific religious concept, namely a lexeme marked within the Christian Orthodox lexicon.
The given study represents confrontational phraseological research conducted on a corpus of phraseological units excerpted from monolingual and translated phraseological and descriptive vocabularies of the contemporary Russian and contemporary Serbian language.
The analysis of the corpus is conducted on the structural, semantic and linguocultural level with the goal to identify sameness, similarities and differences in the phraseological systems of the Russian and Serbian language.
This research belongs to the category of synchronic studies, although with the occasional application of the results from diachronic lexicological and phraseological research for the purposes of a more detailed explanation of the semantics of these phraseological units.
Phraseology as the research subject has an interdisciplinary character, therefore the research includes the results of theolinguistic, ethnolinguistic, mythological, cultural and other types of complementary discipline research.
This research has shown the richness of the phraseological repertoire of both languages, although the phraseological repertoire of the Russian language is wealthier, and more firmly rooted in the heritage of the Orthodox Church. The comparison of the corpus at various levels has revealed examples of sameness and similarities between Russian and Serbian phraseological units based primarily on the two people’s belonging to the Slavic linguistic circle and Orthodox Christian religion. The differences are primarily rooted in linguistic factors and the national-cultural peculiarities of the Russian and Serbian people.
